Entertaining My Accountant in the Stables

Ed, my accountant, has called at the Manor to discuss my affairs. Somehow, our meeting has taken an unexpected turn and I have decided the stables would be a much more entertaining place to continue our conversation.

Poor Ed is terribly nervous. He keeps glancing towards the door, worried that my husband, Lord B, might return at any moment. I tell him not to worry — although I’m not entirely sure that reassures him.

There are accounts to be settled, after all… and I have my own way of keeping the books balanced.
